Villa M is a 5 bedroom beach house located in the heart of the trendy Bophut Fisherman’s Village. With a wide array of excellent restaurants, bars, and boutiques within a short stroll, Villa M is an ideal choice for parties who prefer the convenience of entertainment on the doorstep. From the street, Villa M’s cool, contemporary white façade is striking, yet unpretentious, although the villa is naturally designed to focus on the beach beyond, and the intensity of the sea views at such close proximity to the 3 floors. The entrance hallway opens into the beach-facing main living area, with a designer kitchen separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar. Silver bar stools complement the glass-topped silver dining table which is surrounded by bone inlaid chairs from Rajasthan. The lounge is furnished with sofas, a coffee table, and a wall-mounted LCD TV/DVD. Glass doors open onto the teak pool deck, and an infinity-edge pool surrounded by lawn and the palm-fringed beach beyond. Also on the ground floor are an en-suite bedroom with Queen-size bed and bathroom with tub, as well as a laundry room and a study with a library. The study has an en-suite bathroom, and may be used as a children’s bedroom if required.

A teakwood floating staircase between floors is a design focal point, and leads up to the first floor, and a second elegant lounge, with wall-mounted LCD TV/DVD, and antique furniture. There are three en-suite bedrooms with Queen-size beds on the first floor, one of which features a large balcony, and a bath tub, and a second faces the sea view, with access onto the huge balcony that also runs across the living room, and is furnished with colonial plantation loungers.

The spectacular master bedroom suite occupies the top floor, and includes a beautiful en-suite bedroom with King-size bed, sea views, and glass doors onto two rooftop decks for private sunbathing, lounging, or dining while gazing out over the sea. From the beach-facing roof-terrace, steps lead up to the sunken rooftop Jacuzzi, a large decked entertainment area with a bar, storage rooms and a further bathroom.

Bophut Fisherman’s Village is one of the oldest settlements on Koh Samui, and along with the less salubrious village of Hua Thanon, is the only location on the island with an exemption from building restrictions directly on the beach. A 200 metre section of the village is permitted 12 metre high buildings along the beachfront, and the newly completed Villa M is the first luxury home to take advantage of this ancient bye-law, with 3 floors of meticulously detailed and beautifully styled absolute beachfront living space.
