Villa Azur is designed in architecturally minimalist style, with glass walls facing the breathtaking views across Big Buddha bay of emerald sea, distant islands, and spectacular sunsets. Entered up a flight of stairs from the car port, the large, open-plan living room on the first floor has sliding glass walls on the front and back, which allow the sea breeze to flow through the house, and frame the ever-changing seascape beyond. The garden at the rear of the villa provides an attractive backdrop to the living room. The lounge area features comfortable sofas, arranged around a coffee table and 55" LED screen home theatre system. The dining area seats 8 facing the views. The fully-equipped kitchen includes an espresso machine, and is separated by a large cooking island. At the far end of the lounge is a double bedroom, with an adjacent bathroom that is also accessible from the lounge, and the pool deck. The living room is floored in white terrazzo, with halogen lighting, and two powerful air conditioning units concealed in the ceiling, to maintain cool even on the hottest days.

The front face of the living room opens onto the spacious sand-wash pool deck, with a row of palms in concrete pots along the far side. Sun-loungers, sofa, and armchairs surround the aquamarine-tiled infinity-edge swimming pool that blends into the sea beyond, with a Jacuzzi extension.

An open staircase leads up from the living room to the second floor, with the adjacent glass wall extending across the two floors. A gallery landing interconnects three bedrooms, and an external stairway leading to a 90sqm rooftop terrace. The terrace includes a lounge area, and sun-loungers, with incredible views across Big Buddha bay to the northwest, and Chaweng bay to the southeast.  

All of the bedrooms on the second floor are air conditioned, featuring sliding glass walls that open onto a balcony and integrating the sea views. 2 of the bedrooms are equipped with TV/DVD. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and a large en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate rain shower. The additional two double bedrooms have queen-size beds, and share a bathroom with shower.

Below the living room is a 55 sqm double bedroom suite, featuring an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, a lounge, and a separate entrance.

All of the windows and sliding doors in the villa are double glazed, allowing effective climate control. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for guests use.

The villa is located within walking distance of Big Buddha beach and temple, with a variety of restaurants and shops, although the walk up the steep hill leading to the villa is rather strenuous, particularly in the tropical heat. Five minutes drive from Koh Samui airport, Bang Rak, and Choeng Mon beach, the villa is less than 10 minutes drive from Chaweng and Bophut Fisherman’s village, and around 20 minutes from Santiburi Golf and Country club.
