Sandalwood Villas is a group of 10 villa units, which can be rented separately, and are designed to be private, yet close enough for intimate family or group holidays. They are perched on a steep hillside overlooking Chaweng and the east coast of Samui. The drive up the mountain leads you to a spectacular site, with magnificent views of Samui’s eastern coastline. The villas provide a perfect sun- and moon-rise viewing location, and have been constructed on 3000 square metres of sloping land, which has been tastefully landscaped to incorporate the enormous granite boulders that grace the site.

Leelavadee Villa

The largest and most private unit, Leelavadee has two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all with air-conditioning, and French doors onto the balcony and views, the villa comfortably sleeps 6. Leelavadee Villa has a huge wooden deck facing the sea views that runs along the front of the villa, with 3 dining tables for two, and 2 colonial loungers. On the far side of the deck is a large Jacuzzi, located off the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a private en-suite bathroom, and the two second bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.  Each bedroom has ceiling fan in addition to air conditioning, polished wooden floor, and large built-in wardrobes. All of the rooms have access to the covered rear patio, which leads to a fabulous bathroom with a huge sunken terrazzo tub, additional shower, and magnificent sea views. Lotus Villa

The second largest unit, Lotus Villa has an upstairs master bedroom with a private balcony featuring fantastic sea views. An en-suite, open air bathroom with shower is located on the balcony. The ground floor includes a large marble bathroom with oversize terrazzo sunken tub looking out onto the sea through large corner windows. The vast, open-plan living room includes a large, fully equipped kitchen, marble floor, a double bed, dining table, several sofas, and satellite TV with DVD as well as a CD stereo system. High wood paneled ceilings and sliding glass doors opening onto the balcony create a great sense of space. The large balcony is partially covered, and great for sunbathing while taking in the dramatic sea views from the loungers or al-fresco dining setting.

Jasmine and Orchid

The two loft units, each contain a master bedroom with lounge, en-suite marble bathroom with a large bath, large built-in wardrobes, and a mezzanine loft with double bed, which is perfect for older children. The villas are fully air-conditioned, with marble floor, kitchenettes, with microwave, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and satellite TV with DVD/CD players. Both villas have large, paved balconies, with loungers and dining table, and are covered by wood paneled roofs.

Plumeria and Gardenia

The two smaller units, each contain an open plan marble floored master bedroom with lounge, en-suite marble bathroom with a large bath, large built-in wardrobes, and kitchen. Located below Jasmine and Orchid, Plumeria and Gardenia are fully air-conditioned, with  covered balconies overlooking the fantastic sea views. Plumeria has a large adjoining private patio with a private pool, sala pavilion for al-fresco dining, and sun loungers. Gardenia has a Jacuzzi tub.

Jumpee and Malee

These two spacious 1 bedroom units are arranged around a swimming pool together with Amarin and Camellia. Featuring great sea views, Jacuzzi tubs on the decks, king-size beds, and marble bathrooms, with indoor and outdoor showers. Extensive glass windows and doors provide a light, airy feel, which is complimented by cool marble floors, traditional Thai furniture and stylish décor. Both units have kitchenettes with fridge, sink, and microwave.

Malee is located above Jumpee, which opens directly onto the pool deck.

Amarin and Camellia

These 2 bedroom units are set across the pool from Jumpee and Malee. Both have a spacious master bedroom featuring King-size bed, desk, and lounge area, and a second bedroom with Queen-size bed, sofa, and en-suite toilet. A large marble bathroom beyond the kitchenette includes twin wash basins, a walk-in shower, and tub. Designed with marble, granite, and hardwoods throughout, with windows onto the sea views.

Amarin has a Jacuzzi tub on the terrace facing the spectacular views, while Camellia has a private plunge pool on its terrace.

A large, roofed, open plan entertainment area leads to the stunning infinity edge pool on the ground floor. A covered casual lounge overlooks the pool, and is a perfect venue for casual or formal dining, all day lounging, group meetings or family get-togethers. All villas are equipped with a telephone, and a computer with internet connection is available in the poolside reception. Tea and coffee are supplied in all villas, together with complimentary drinking water, and a fully stocked mini-bar. Sandalwood's wine list is extensive, but requires pre-ordering.

Sandalwood Villas features one of Samui’s most spectacular pools. The infinity edge blends dramatically with the sea, and vast, mesmerizing views.  Several sun loungers and an outdoor dining area surround the pool, offering choice for those wishing to read, relax, or tan.

The villa complex is conveniently located, being approximately equidistant from Chaweng and Lamai. This means that there are a host of dining, shopping, and entertainment options within a ten-minute drive. The closest swimming beach is Coral Cove, which is only a three-minute drive away, and one of Samui’s best snorkeling locations. This is a lovely white sand beach and relatively safe swimming area, enclosed by enormous granite boulders.

The villas have three fulltime staff, who are on call 24 hours a day during your visit, and are supported by a resident manager, who lives in a wooden house that guards the property at the roadside. The staff will cater to your every need, whether arranging an in-villa spa treatment, babysitting, or sightseeing tours. A full menu is available for an array of Thai and European dishes available throughout the day, in addition to the complimentary daily American breakfast.

Villa Rates

Rates are exclusive of 10% service charge and 7% tax, and inclusive of airport transfers and American breakfast for 2 guests per villa. Additional guests are charged daily at 800++ THB per person, except for children under 12, who are accommodate free of charge excluding optional breakfast.

Minimum rental is 3 nights. Minimum stay during Xmas/NY is 5 nights.
