The Napasai, part of the Pansea-Orient Express Hotels group, is a newly completed villa resort catering for the discerning traveller. Located on a secluded headland on Samui's North coast, within extensive grounds consisting mainly of original cashew trees and coconut palms. Steep slopes down to the water's edge have allowed for the private pool villas to be constructed on three levels, each with unobstructed sea views.

All of the generously proportioned villas and cottages are exquisitely decorated in authentic cottons and silks, with rich tropical woods and bamboo. Privacy and space are maintained throughout, with lush foliage separating properties. Large, luxurious custom made bath tubs are featured in all units.

There are 5 types of accommodation available at The Napasai, as outlined below:

Private pool beachfront villas

These Balinese-Thai fusion villas are built on 3 levels, sloping down to the seafront. The Pool Villas include a personal butler to cater to your every whim, and additional housekeepers.  The villas are entered through a private gate that opens onto a courtyard separating the two bedroom suites. Each of the large bedrooms features a King-size bed, polished wooden floors, writing desks, TV, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and a large en-suite bathroom with over-sized custom made bath tub, and a separate shower. The master bedroom also opens onto a private balcony deck, with seating for two, and fantastic sea views. Both bedrooms are very spacious, with high ceilings, large windows and sliding French doors.

A stone stairway leads down to the living room and kitchen, housed in their own building. The living room is again floored in polished hardwood, with a vaulted ceiling, and opens onto a large wooden balcony with seating for 4 overlooking the pool and sea. Luxurious furnishing and decor is well balanced and inviting. The fully fitted kitchen features wooden cabinets, granite counters, and everything required to cook up your own delicacies, with a serving-hatch keeping the two rooms well integrated.

From the living floor, another stairway leads down to the pool, with a large sandwashed deck that houses an al-fresco dining set for 4, a sala or pavilion, and  4 wooden sun beds with mattresses. A particularly scenic and private hideaway is located under the balcony, where cascading climbing plants create a partial screen to frame the picture-perfect views.

Beachfront Suites

These beautiful detached villas are located on the lawns in front of the beach, sleeping 2-4 adults. The villas are well spaced out, with private gardens and pavilions. Each villa comprises a spacious sitting room with two large day beds, which can be made up as beds. The sitting room also has a dining table seating four, and TV with DVD and cable concealed within an armoire. A bathroom with shower is located off the sitting room. The large master bedrooms have a king size double bed, TV, DVD, and seating area. The en-suite bathrooms are huge, with a shower and vast terrazzo bath tub that overlooks a further outdoor shower in the lush garden. The villas have beautiful wooden floors throughout, with sliding wooden doors providing total privacy. Although these villas don't have a private pool, the nearby communal pool is spectacular. Garden Suite

Identical to the Beachfront Suites, with the exception of the external shower being replaced by a fountain in the back garden, the Garden Suites are located a little further back from the beach, on the flat lawns. One complimentary aromatherapy treatment for two persons is included with a minimum two night stay.

Beachfront Cottages

Facilities

The Napasai features a spectacular 55 metre long swimming pool, stretching out in undulating free-form across vast, palm fringed lawns that gently roll down to the beach. The main pool, along with the private villa pools, features a hybrid salt water-chlorine system that guests rave about.

Two excellent restaurants serve French and traditional Thai cuisine, and a full American breakfast buffet is included for all guests. Both bars and restaurants feature sea views, and are open to the balmy sea breezes.

A world class spa offers a wide range of treatments, indulgences, and therapies, rooted in Thai traditional medicine, local herbs and Oriental philosophies. Guests at the Spa Cottages may indulge in these treatments in  the privacy of their own rooms. Nestled in a peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by wonderful flora, the  Spa at Napasai is a sanctuary of serenity and  natural beauty  for those  seeking to relax  and  restore body and mind.  Enjoy a purifying traditional massage, or indulge in a Pansea Romance Bath, plunging into a sensual bath full of flowers scented with  Ylang  Ylang, considered  as  the  most  famous  aphrodisiac  flower of Asia, to uplift  your spirit and invade all your senses, while honey and milk soften your skin. A tonic drink will complement your bath.

Tennis courts are available at the resort, as well as a wide range of water sports. Santiburi golf and country club provides one of Asia's premier 18 hole courses less than 10 minutes drive away.

Airport transfer is charged at 600 THB, approximately $15 USD, each way for up to 4 persons.

Room occupancy:

Check-in time is 2pm. Check-out time is 12 noon.

Late check-out up to 6pm is subject to a charge of 50% of the daily rate.

Late check-out after 6pm will be charged as an additional night.

American buffet breakfast: included ($15 USD for visitors or $7.50 USD for additional child under 12 in Beachfront family bungalows)
