Baan Tamarind is located on the white-powder sand beach of Big Buddha. The villa is situated in the quaint village of Ban Bang Rak or in English, ‘The Village of Love’. Baan Tamarind is a haven of peace and tranquility in a stunning location with wonderful sunset vistas.

Baan Tamarind is a villa within it’s own walled and landscaped tropical gardens. The villa comprises four buildings, with five bedrooms that provide luxury accommodation for up to 10 adults, or 8 adults and 4 children. There are several areas in which to relax; the beachfront sala, covered and open wooden decks, the garden sala, the air-conditioned living room, shaded gardens, pool, and quiet beach.

Privacy is assured by the raised elevation above the beach, with two stairways leading to gated entrances on either side of the garden. The long pap-pool is set behind the beachfront sala, and surrounded by stone borders. Sun decks flank the pool on 2 sides, furnished with sun-loungers and parasols. The beachfront sala overlooks the beach, gardens, and pool, and is furnished with an al-fresco dining set, as well as a double four poster daybed for lounging or massage.

The main building comprises an air-conditioned living room, elegant dining area, and fully equipped modern kitchen. The entertainment area offers satellite TV with 42" plasma screen home theatre system, with DVD player and satellite service. The living room opens onto covered verandahs on 2 sides, and faces both the pool and sea views. Complimentary high-speed broadband WiFi internet service is available throughout the property.

The five bedrooms are all air-conditioned, as well as having ceiling fans, and each features indoor-outdoor bathrooms. TV and DVD is included in 4 of the bedrooms. There are two bedrooms with double beds, two with twin beds, and one room with 4 bunk beds. All of the rooms face views across the pool to the beach and sea beyond.

Baan Tamarind is great for entertaining and relaxing, with many choices for that special get-together or intimate experience. Choose from a candlelit beach dinner, garden BBQ, lunch or dinner under the beachside sala, relaxed dining on the deck, or an elegant air-conditioned gourmet experience in the main dining room.

The villa faces stunning sea views to Koh Phangnan, as well as sunset views to the west of the island. The Big Buddha statue is a truly inspiring sight when viewed from the deck, garden, or beach, particularly when illuminated at night. 

Baan Tamarind has four full time staff who are on call 24 hours a day during your visit, and are supported by a resident staff under the leadership of a guest relations manager who will cater to your every whim.

Located on the North coast of Koh Samui,  less than 5 minutes from Samui Airport, and only 10 minutes drive from the main tourist area of Chaweng, Bang Rak is also home to an eclectic range of restaurants, bars, and shops that can fulfill most needs within a short walk. The ‘Fisherman’s village’ of Bophut is also only a 5-minute drive away, and offers some of the island’s best dining venues.
